TWANG TOWN LOWDOWN - MONDAY, MAY 16TH

BRAD PAISLEY: PLAYFUL JABS OVER NEW DUET

Longtime friends and former duet partners Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are going at. They hit Twitter with a playful exchange over his new single, "Without a Fight."

Brad tweeted to Carrie, "Hey Carrie Underwood, I'm singing with Demi Lovato on my new song. Jealous?"

Without missing a beat, Carrie shot back, "As a matter of fact, I am... I've always wanted to sing with Demi Lovato!"

Touche, Carrie!

JAKE OWEN: PUTS FINISHING TOUCHES ON NEW ALBUM

It's almost time for more new music from Jake Owen, and he knows it too!

After spending time out on the open road in a '66 Volkswagen van, the country star's next album is officially done. He tweeted about it Saturday, saying, "My album is finished. It's coming to your ear drums very soon. Just have a tropical drink(s) ready, some friends, a boat, and a bad ass stereo."

This will be Jake's first album since 2013, when he released Days of Gold, and from the sound of it, this upcoming album could be the soundtrack to everyone's summer. "American Country Love Song" is Jake's current single, and he has set a tentative release date for July for the new album.

KIP MOORE: KEEPING KIDS SAFE

Kip Moore has built five skate parks and is about to build a sixth through his foundation's Comeback Kid Skatepark Project.

He started the project to give kids a safe place to go at night where they can avoid trouble. He says that there's a kid who uses the Nashville skate park who'd never skated before and now loves it. "His mom is telling me this park has solely kept him out of the gangs because he comes there every day after school. He was being highly recruited by the gangs."

Kip is on Miranda Lambert's Keeper of the Flame tour along with Brothers Osborne.

KENNY, MIRANDA: MAKING NEW FANS

Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert, who are touring together when Kenny's Spread the Love trek hits stadiums, have accepted the challenge to make new fans.

Kenny says, "It makes me happiest when somebody who may not have been invested in our music -- their boyfriend or girlfriend [dragged] them to the show -- leaves going, 'What the hell just happened?'"

Miranda likes to look into the audience and find the person who clearly doesn't want to be there. "Trying to get the guy who has a [crappy] look on his face the whole time. I’m like, 'I’m gonna turn you!'"

The next stadium show will be in Louisville, Kentucky on May 28th.
