LAMAR ODOM: BEING LURED BACK TO BROTHEL -
The owner of the Nevada brothel where Lamar Odom nearly died last fall is trying to lure him back with the promise of a free night, women and booze.
Dennis Hof, who owns the Love Ranch, is letting Lamar know that if he comes back, the first night and two girls will be on the house, along with "all the Remy Martin you can drink." Hof says drugs were what put Lamar in a coma and the brothel has a no drug policy. He also assures that Lamar will be safe and says, "Don't forget, the people who work here are the one's who saved his life. We truly care about him."
WENDELL PIERCE: ALLEGEDLY ATTACKS BERNIE SUPPORTER
This election season has been bringing out the worst in people -- and that couldn't be more true for actor Wendell Pierce, who was arrested Saturday for allegedly assaulting a female Bernie Sanders supporter in Atlanta.
Pierce, who recently starred as Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in HBO’s Confirmation, was reportedly spending time with an unmarried couple at the Loews Hotel when they got into a heated conversation about the presidential election. Pierce, who supports Hillary Clinton, allegedly pushed the woman’s boyfriend and then pulled her hair and hit her on the head.
Pierce, who starred on The Wire, was arrested and charged with battery. He was later released after posting $1,000 bail.
HOLLYWOOD BUZZ:
Michael B. Jordan is in talks to join the cast of Black Panther. He'll reunite with his Creed director Ryan Coogler in the Marvel flick. No word on what character Jordan will play, but he did portray Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four.
NBC has renewed The Carmichael Show for a third season, while the network has cancelled Mysteries of Laura after two seasons.
James McAvoy and his wife Anne-Marie Duff have filed for divorce after nine years. In a joint statement, the couple said, "It is with tremendous sadness that we have come to the decision to divorce." They have a six-year-old son named Brendan.
