TAYLOR SWIFT: Knows How to Start a Rumor

We’re only at day 12 of the Swiddleston romance, and the pregnancy rumor has already started!

Here’s the sketchy evidence: Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston flew thousands of miles overseas, to meet his parents. The Swift publicity machine apparently staged daily photos of them acting lovey-dovey. First in Rhode Island, then Nashville and this past weekend with his mother in England!

The pregnancy gossip really hangs by this single thread. The candid pictures of a romantic double date in Nashville revealed that Taylor abstained from wine.

Still, they’ve moved so swiftly, she could be laying the groundwork for a surprise engagement, followed by a baby announcement. And some people have pointed out that she looks fuller in the chest, another possible signal of an early pregnancy.

It’s probably just a bad rumor, but stranger things have happened.

WEIRD NEWS: He Flipped Over Burgers

A Florida man was checkmated by cops after he called 911 and demanded deputies be sent out to aid him -- in correcting his order from a Checkers burger joint.

John May phoned the emergency number on Saturday night, saying he'd gone through the drive-thru and been given the wrong food, and worse yet, he experienced "insubordination" from the eatery's manager. When officers arrived at the scene, they found May sitting there, still chowing down, with half of his meal already eaten.

The 53-year-old told the cops he knew there was no emergency but that he wanted law enforcement to have the manager correct his order as a matter of honor. He now faces misdemeanor charges of misuse of 911 and trespassing -- on grounds of failure to leave upon owner order.

WEIRD NEWS: David Cop-a-Feel

A street magician pulled off a disappearing act that landed him in jail -- because he tried to make a woman's bikini disappear.

Richard Cook of Clearwater, Florida was performing his sidewalk magic act when he asked for a volunteer. A woman wearing a bikini stepped forward to join the act and Cook explained that he was going to make a scarf disappear from his hand. To set up the trick, he asked the woman to keep her hands out in front of her. That's when he reached down and untied her bikini bottoms.

The shocked woman was able to quickly grab her suit before she was completely exposed and told Cook that she didn't want to be part of the trick. But Cook persisted, and responded, "You will feel comfortable" before doing the same thing again.

The woman then ran away and found a police officer, who came by to arrest Cook. He's been charged with battery.

WEIRD NEWS: Burglary Victim Hits a Homer

A Florida thug who tried to imitate Batman ended up looking more like the Joker -- when the guy whose house he was robbing beat him senseless with the baseball bat he was using during the crime.

Noah Dassat broke into the house last Thursday, one day after showing up at the family's doorstep saying he was looking for a friend named Josh. When told there was no Josh in the family, he left, then returned, bat in hand, but found the couple and their three kids in the home -- and ready to rumble.

Dassat took a swing at the male homeowner, but missed, allowing him to get the intruder in a headlock and his wife to grab the bat and hand it to her husband. He sustained some serious bruises, but managed to flee the scene, only to be arrested after checking into a nearby hospital under a fake name,

One neighbor complimented the action, saying, "That's how we roll around here."

WINONA RYDER: Defends Johnny Depp

Winona Ryder has come to Johnny Depp's defense.

The actress, who was engaged to the star in the '90s, tells Time magazine that he was never abusive toward her. This comes on the heels of Amber Heard accusing The Pirates of the Caribbean star of domestic violence. Winona says, "I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said. I mean, he was never, never that way towards me. Never abusive at all towards me. I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves."

She adds, "I’m not calling anyone a liar. I’m just saying, it’s difficult and upsetting for me to wrap my head around it. Look, it was a long time ago, but we were together for four years, and it was a big relationship for me. And we have a lot of mutual friends. I just never heard anything like that about him. But, again, I feel like even saying that, I’m going to get death threats or something. I’m not on social media, so maybe I will be spared."

Amber filed for divorce from Johnny last month after 15 months of marriage.

JAY LENO: Walks Away From Incredible Car Wreck

Jay Leno is fine and dandy after getting into a dramatic car wreck.

The comedian was shooting a wheelie stunt with 80-year-old driver Bob Riggle for his CNBC show Jay Leno's Garage. In the clip, Jay says, "2500 horsepower! That's right, 2500 horsepower on two wheels! What could go wrong?"

Quite a lot actually. When Bob made a turn, the car flipped several times. Fortunately the two men were able to walk away from the accident.

"Well, that was certainly exciting," Leno says as he gets out of the car.

MATT LeBLANC: Wants His Top Gear Co-Host Fired

Matt LeBlanc apparently isn't friends with his Top Gear co-host.

The actor has reportedly given the BBC an ultimatum -- either they fire Chris Evans or he walks. Britain's The Sun says the former Friends' star "has grown increasingly frustrated with his co-star’s rudeness and frosty attitude towards the team."

The second season of the revamped Top Gear is set to begin filming in September, but it could be postponed while producers make a decision. A source says, "The big question now is who goes and who stays." Matt seems to have an advantage, since he's been getting rave reviews on the motoring series.

Matt and Chris came on board after longtime host Jeremy Clarkson was fired last year.

KELLY McGILLIS: Assaulted at Home

Actress Kelly McGillis is nursing some scratches and bruises after she was attacked in her home in North Carolina.

The Top Gun star wrote in a Facebook post that she returned home last Friday night to find a strange woman inside her house. She wrote, "I asked her who she is and why she was in my house and she said, ‘You know why. You’ve been stalking me on Twitter.'" McGillis added that is not true.

McGillis says she ran outside to call police, but the woman -- who had a child with her -- followed her and tried to knock the phone out of her hand. She scratched and punched her face as McGillis screamed for help. Luckily, a passing driver called police, who were able to arrest the woman. She was identified as Laurence Marie Dorn and was charged with burglary, larceny, stalking and assault and battery. The child was placed in the custody of Social Services.
