MAREN MORRIS: SETS DEBUT RELEASE DATE
Maren Morris is set to release her debut album, Hero, on June 3rd.
Maren co-wrote all the songs on the 11-track record. She says, "I've come such a long way from who I was in Texas, who I am as a writer, who I am as a woman today. I think the message of this record is self acceptance and awareness, and that to me is heroic."
She's making multiple appearances at the annual South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas this week. She'll also open shows on Keith Urban's RipCORD world tour, which launches on June 3rd in Kansas City.
MIRANDA LAMBERT: GETS A LINE OF PET PRODUCTS
Miranda Lambert has partnered with Petmate for her own line of pet products. MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert will launch this week at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida.
The collection features bedding, collars, leashes, and food and water dishes. There will also be a line of plush puppies -- each with its own adoption story. One toy resembles Delilah, Miranda's first rescue dog.
She says, "There are millions of beautiful dogs looking for homes, and it is our hope that in addition to raising money, we will raise awareness to the joy of adopting a shelter pet.”
MuttNation was founded by Miranda and her mother, Beverly in 2009.
