A Pennsylvania man who downed an entire bottle of vodka before heading to work ended up charged with a serious DWI -- Dentistry While Intoxicated.
Dr. Gregory Bellotti was busted after a complaint from one of his staffers, but authorities didn't arrive at his office until he'd already seen eight of the 14 patients on his schedule for the day. When cops arrived, they found the doc to be "unable to do simple tasks or answer questions." A blood alcohol test measured point-41, five times the legal limit.
His license was suspended, and a formal hearing will decide if it will be permanently revoked. That's what you get when you forget that "painless dentistry" is supposed mean painless for the patient.
