NOW WHERE DID I PUT THAT DARN KEY?

A woman in Italy walked into a fire station last week because she had lost the key to her chastity belt and needed help removing it, according to local newspaper Il Messaggero.

The 60-year-old initially told fire crews in the northern city of Padua that she needed help opening a padlock, The Telegraph reports. When firefighters asked the woman where she lived, thinking she'd locked herself out of her house, she lifted her sweater and showed them the iron device.

After cracking open the lock, they investigated whether the woman, whose name has not been released due to Italian privacy law, was a victim of domestic violence who may have been forced to wear the chastity belt.

But the woman told the firefighters she wore it because she was worried about the incidents of sexual violence she saw on the news, Italian news outlet TGCOM24 reported.

Neither the woman nor the fire department have further commented on the incident.

RAISE A MUG...OR ELSE.

A Florida man was arrested after he tried to knock out his neighbor -- for refusing to knock back an after-work cocktail with him.

Edelman Nogueira was taken into custody last week after he allegedly socked the victim in the back of the head when his offer of a drink was declined. The man, whose name was not released, told cops he'd just come back from the gym and was headed to his apartment to have dinner with his wife when Nogueira approached him in the hallway and suggested they hoist a cool one.

Nogueira punched the other man, then chased him down the hall and forced his way into the guy's apartment, where he slapped him again, leading the victim to call 911. Cops responded to the scene and took Nogueira to jail, where he reportedly kicked and punched the glass holding cell, forcing officers to put him in a body restraint.

DO YOU WANT FIRE WITH THAT?

A Florida man thought he'd been burned by a boss who'd canned him from a Burger King job -- so he took off his uniform and set it on fire right outside the eatery doors.

Timothy Ortiz got steamed after his manager told to turn in his shirt and hat, so instead of simply leaving it in the boss's office, he opted to walk out and take a match to it -- just three feet from the gas line leading into the restaurant. A patron called 911 and tried to detain Ortiz, but the spurned worker fled the scene, cursing at witnesses who tried to stop him.

Cops arrived at Ortiz's home a short time later to grill him about the crime, but he grew belligerent and had to be tased before cops could subdue him.

ENTERTANMENT WORLD MOURNS LOSS OF GLENN FREY

 

As word spread of the death of The Eagles band member Glenn Frey, tributes and messages began appearing on social media sites as friends and peers shared their thoughts and memories of the founding member of one of the most successful bands of all time.

"He was my fellow road warrior ... " wrote Linda Ronstadt, who hired Frey in one of her first backup bands. Another early supporter and fellow Detroit native, Bob Seger, said,  “He had a drive, an imagination and a talent that was just titanic.”

Huey Lewis penned, “Glenn Frey. I’m shocked. A brilliant songwriter and a really good guy. Talented, funny, cynical and sweet.” The Doobie Brothers wrote, “Glenn Frey’s passing leaves another tremendous void in the Rock world.”

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian tweeted, “Oh man ... Glenn Frey. Damn it. RIP…” and The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz, said, “Joining the heavenly band… RIP Glenn Frey…”

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis wrote, “The lights are dimmed at The Hotel California. Thanks for the soundtrack to my youth. RIP Glenn Frey.”  Actor George Takai said, “May the stars of the Southern Sky greet you tonight, Glenn Frey. Thank you for great Eagles tunes like ‘Hotel California.’ Charles Esten said, “RIP Glenn Frey. Thank you for the beautiful music. It inspired so many.”

Stephen King penned, “So sorry to hear about the passing of Glenn Frey. Great songwriter, great musician, great talent.” Magic Johnson signed in with, “I’m in shock as I learned that my friend Glenn Frey has passed away, and I send our prayers out to Glenn Frey’s family. Rest in peace my friend.”

 Guitarist Steve Lukather said, “RIP Glenn Frey. Another legend gone too soon.” Ringo Starr penned, “God Bless Glenn Frey. Peace and love to his family and friends.” Bette Midler wrote, “Glenn Frey, founding member of the Eagles, a band I just loved, has died. His songs, those sounds, perfectly captured those days … 70s LA…”

“Glenn Frey – our condolences to friends and family. Rest in peace,” wrote Gene Simmons, while Nikki Sixx said, “RIP Glenn Frey … Thank you for all the great songs and powerful lyrics ….Jesus can the reaper please take a break for awhile…”

Carole King penned, “RIP Glenn Frey. Deepest condolences to his family and the Eagles.” Justin Timberlake remembered, “My Mom used to play Eagles records for me on my way to grade school. We lost one of the greatest songwriters ever today...”

Eagles drummer and vocalist Don Henley issued a statement, saying, "He was like a brother to me; we were family, and like most families, there was some dysfunction. But, the bond we forged 45 years ago was never broken, even during the 14 years that the Eagles were dissolved.

We were two young men who made the pilgrimage to Los Angeles with the same dream: to make our mark in the music industry -- and with perseverance, a deep love of music, our alliance with other great musicians and our manager, Irving Azoff, we built something that has lasted longer than anyone could have dreamed. But, Glenn was the one who started it all. He was the spark plug, the man with the plan.

He had an encyclopedic knowledge of popular music and a work ethic that wouldn't quit. He was funny, bullheaded, mercurial, generous, deeply talented and driven. He loved his wife and kids more than anything. We are all in a state of shock, disbelief and profound sorrow. We brought our two-year 'History of the Eagles Tour' to a triumphant close at the end of July and now he is gone.

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some."

AMY SCHUMER PUTS DAMPER ON TEEN FILM CRITIC

 

After Amy Schumer befriended a teenage film critic at the Critic’s Choice Awards, the 17-year-old posted a photo of the two of them with a comment he thought was funny.

Schumer didn’t appreciate the joke. Jackson Murphy, who has a website called “Lights-Camera-Jackson,” posted a note on Twitter with his selfie that said, “Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certianly not the first guy to write that.”

The “Trainwreck” star was not amused, and replied, “I get it. Cause I’m a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad.”

Murphy deleted the tweet and apologized – not once but twice. In the first tweet, he said, “Thought you’d like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!”

In another tweet, he was even more sincere, saying, “I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I’m not a comedian and it wasn’t funny.”

Schumer replied, “That’s really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that.”

TWO-YEAR-OLD NOAH CHAMBERLIN STILL MISSING

 

The toddler who disappeared on Thursday while hiking with his grandmother in West Tennessee is still missing.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers and volunteers continue to comb the woods where Noah Chamberlin disappeared, but they have found no sign of the young child.

Temperatures have fallen into the teens with wind chill factors in the single digit, yet Chester County sheriff Blair Weaver says he has faith that Noah will be found.

Volunteers are searching in one hour shifts because the weather is so cold it isn’t deemed safe for them to be out any longer in the cold. Most volunteers say when the life of a child is at stake, they don’t think about the cold or how it is affecting them while they search for him.

Searchers are trying to cover about 1,000 acres of rough terrain, which is hard to do given the weather and the difficulties of finding one person in an area that big.

BLAKE/MIRANDA: HAD GREAT WEEKENDS 3,000 MILES APART:

  

The Blake Shelton - Gwen Stefani romance appears to be getting serious.  

Online sources are reporting that Blake and Gwen were spotted on a family date with Gwen's kids -- nine-year-old Kingston, seven-year-old Zuma and one-year-old Apollo -- to see the new Star Wars movie. After the flick, they were spotted at the Sherman Oaks, California Cheesecake Factory for a bite to eat. 

On the other side of the country, Miranda Lambert was having herself a great weekend. She showed her Gypsy Vanner at the Feathered Horse Classic in Jacksonville, Florida and won big. 

BLAKE SHELTON: WANTS TIM TEBOW BACK IN THE NFL

Blake Shelton can't quit Tebowmania. Last week, Blake went on a Twitter rant about how he wants Tim Tebow back in the NFL.

Blake tweeted, “Just saw the 2011 playoff game with Steelers vs. Broncos. Can someone please give me a good reason [why] Tim Tebow isn't playing in the NFL?! I mean are you telling me that there's NOT a team that needs him out there? Look at the problems so many teams have at quarterback!”

Follower Ronald Young weighed in explaining the reason Tim isn’t playing in the NFL is because of his religious beliefs. Blake responded, “Is that seriously the reason?! That’s pretty sad … Glad they don’t hold country singers to that standard.”

In 2003, Blake said he loved messing with NFL fans who follow teams that didn’t make it to the playoffs.

THE HOT DOG SONG – CARRIE UNDERWOOD

 

Being a mother has changed Carrie Underwood's daily life in so many ways, which is evident in the kind of TV programs she watches every morning. Carrie recently posted a picture on Instagram that shows her 10-month-old son Isaiah sitting on the floor watching an episode of the Disney's kids program, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. And the caption for photo reveals just how different Underwood's daily routine is from her pre-mommy days. Carrie says, "I used to watch the news in the mornings. Now I sit in the floor with my cup of coffee and this munchkin and sing the 'Hot Dog' song! I think like it better this way! #whodathought #bestwaytostarttheday" And just in case you're wondering what the "Hot Dog Dance" is, here's a video.

When Underwood's not singing the "Hot Dog" song, you might find her improvising a great home workout. Another Instagram post reveals that Carrie gets pretty creative when it's time to break a sweat. In the video, Underwood puts her feet on two of her Calia By Carrie Underwood towels and uses the floor's smooth surface to do plank and lunge exercises. The video can be seen here.

MUSIC'S GOING TO EVOLVE – LEE BRICE

 

Some people may not like the so-called "bro-country" brand of country music or how the genre seems to be moving away from the traditional country sound, but Lee Brice says music's always going to evolve. But Lee also makes it clear that the traditional style of country isn't going anywhere. He tells Radio.com, "Some people like to just hang on to the roots of country, and do a classic country album, like Sturgill Simpson, or my buddy Jamey Johnson. That's what moves them. And it moves me too!" In fact, Brice still looks to traditional country and the artists who came before him to see how his music measures up. Lee shares, "When I'm making a record, I pull from Alan Jackson and Vince Gill and Garth Brooks and Alabama and Randy Travis and Kenny Rogers. And then I say, 'Do my songs stand up to their songs?' As for the production and sound of his music, Brice shares, "I still love steel guitar and I still put it on my records."

Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line are two acts who always seem to be at the center of the whole "bro-country" debate, but Lee fully supports their artistry and the music they make. Brice says, "As long as someone like Luke Bryan — who's my buddy — or Florida Georgia Line, or whoever… as long as they love what they’re doing, then I say, more power to you, you do whatever the hell you want to do." Besides, there were other country artists who've strayed from what was thought to be traditional country at the time. Lee says, "Johnny Cash didn't sound like any other country music before him, neither did Waylon Jennings! They were rock and roll!"

FOOSBALL SMUGGLER GETS THE JOINT:

A Canadian woman has been kicked out of the United States after she tried to smuggle more than 50 pounds of marijuana over the border -- inside a foosball table. 

U.S. Customs and Border officials say the woman was stopped at the border crossing near Niagara Falls, New York. She told agents she was driving into the U.S. to buy Powerball tickets, but officers searched her van, and drug-sniffing dogs alerted them to something wacky inside the game table. A panel was removed from the table, revealing 50 vacuum-packed bags containing weed. 

She was arrested and handed over to New York State Police.

BAD NEIGHBOR POLICY

A Florida man had no de-fence when cops came to arrest him for hopping his neighbor's fence -- then breaking into the man's home, drinking all his booze and trashing his backyard with empty booze bottles.

Donald Rowan Junior was busted after his neighbor called cops to report that his patio door had been smashed in, and his liquor cabinet raided -- with a trail of empty bottles left in the yard, leading to his home. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Rowan passed out in a chair, covered in blood -- which later turned out to be a match for blood left on the broken door.

Rowan's mother didn't help his case, telling investigators her son had climbed over the fence earlier that day,  drunk, sweating profusely and acting strangely. While deputies were in the middle of their questioning, Rowan tried to hide a bottle of tequila -- which the victim identified as one of his own.

SHE'S GOT A LOTTO POWERBALLS

A Tennessee woman who claims she lost all her savings buying Powerball tickets just showed that she's got a pretty powerful set of her own -- by setting up a GoFundMe page to beg folks to reimburse her.

Cinnamon Nicole, who lives in the town of Cordova, says she was positive she'd come out a winner in the $1.5 billion drawing, so she cleared out her bank account and went all in -- and went totally broke. Cinnamon came up with a solution to her money woes in just 24 hours, though, and decided to ask strangers to donate cash -- so she could go out and buy more tickets for the next drawing.

She wrote, "We're now in dire need of cash. With your small donation of at least $1.00, a like and one share, I’m certain that we will be able to pick ourselves up from the trenches of this lost and spend another fortune trying to hit it big again!" Though Cinnamon got her share of nasty responses, she also racked up $800 in donations -- before GoFundMe shut down her page.

THE SANDLOT: STAR CHARGED IN BRUTAL ATTACK

Michael Vitar, who played Benny in The Sandlot, has been arrested for allegedly beating a "grad student within an inch of his life," TMZ reports.

Vitar, who is now a firefighter, was taken into custody earlier this month and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon. He was released last week on $30,000 bail.

The incident happened on Halloween. TMZ says two of Michael's friends, also firefighters, "spotted Samuel Chang passing out candy in the street of his gated L.A. community." They suspected the man of passing out tainted candy. They confronted Chang and then began beating him. Vitar allegedly joined in.

Chang's injuries included "burst blood vessels in the eye, bleeding on the brain, kidney failure and hemorrhaging due to suffocation." It's believed the firefighters were intoxicated.

Michael Vitar also appeared in D2: The Mighty Ducks and D3: The Mighty Ducks. He retired from acting in the late '90s.

HAYDEN PANETTIERE MAKES FIRST APPEARANCE AT CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS

Hayden Panettiere, who portrays Juliette Barnes on ABC’s “Nashville,” was on the red carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards Sunday night, one of her first public outings since she underwent treatment for postpartum depression.

Panettiere, whose daughter Kaya is now one, says she is very proud to inspire others who might need to seek help in handling postpartum depression.

“I've gotten an incredible amount of support and I was actually really surprised, ‘cause I feel like I grew up in this industry that, in my mind, was very judgmental,' the former child star told “Entertainment Tonight.” She added that she didn’t check into any social media sites because she felt that people had been waiting for her to fail.

“When I looked, people were like, ‘Oh my gosh, good for you,’ and I am so proud to be a spokesperson and a woman that people can look to and to know that they're not alone and they're not weak if they go and they seek help.”

FLORIDA RESIDENT FINDS SHARK IN SWIMMING POOL

 A Mariner's Cay condominium resident in Lake Worth, Florida found something she wasn’t exactly please to see in the swimming pool at the complex where she lives.

The resident was surprised to find a five-foot black tip shark in the condominium pool when she went to the pool on Saturday. The shark was removed by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers, according to a local newspaper.

It is possible the people who put the shark in the pool can be caught. The woman saw two men running from the scene at the time of her discovery and there are surveillance cameras in the area. 

Local authorities are treating the incident as an ongoing and active investigation. The shark was released back into the Intracoastal Waterway once it was removed from the pool.

LIAM & MILEY CYRUS: ON AGAIN?

Looks like the engagement is back on for Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus. Over the weekend Miley was not only spotted wearing her engagement ring but was seen unloading a U-Haul at Liam's Malibu home.
