WEIRD NEWS: Fuddler on the Roof
A British man was feeling sky high about getting a new job, and after a night of drunken celebration, he found himself sky high above a shopping center with no idea how he got there.
27-year-old Isaac Moore went out last Saturday night to celebrate getting a new job and got very drunk. So drunk, in fact, that he somehow climbed onto the 75-foot-high curved glass roof above a shopping mall and passed out. He was finally awoken by firefighters who were called to rescue him.
Moore told authorities that he drank six pints of beer, but had no idea how or why he scaled the building and climbed onto the roof. The stores below him had to be closed and evacuated while firefighters removed him. Officers asked if he believed that he caused a public nuisance and he responded, "Yeah, I was found on the roof so I suppose I did."
WEIRD NEWS: Drunk Driver Crashes Into Beer Distributor
A Pennsylvania woman with a history of drunk driving arrests may have finally hit rock-bottom in a most appropriate way.
Despite her five DUI arrests and a court order to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, 53-year-old Lynly Broge was back behind the wheel of a car last week after consuming eight beers and muscle-relaxers. She drove across a center median and slammed right into a beer distribution center. Her car crashed through a brick wall and narrowly missed hitting the business owner inside.
Broge, who was not wearing her alcohol-monitoring bracelet at the time, was arrested again for DUI and and careless driving. She's being held on $100,000 bail and, hopefully, will be stripped of her driving privileges.
WEIRD NEWS: Little Red Corvette, Big Dumb Mother
A Pennsylvania mother is under arrest after she tried to turn a little red Corvette into a family car.
29-year-old Jessica Reger wanted to go for a ride in the two-seat sports car with her friend, so she put her two young kids in the trunk. A concerned witness saw the kids go into the trunk and called police, who pulled them over. The kids, ages three and five, were taken out of the trunk --and their mother was put in handcuffs and arrested for endangering the welfare of children. Her friend who was driving the car was also arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.
