HOTLIST - WEDNESDAY APRIL 6th

VANESSA HUDGENS: PAY UP, OR LAWYER UP.

Authorities in Arizona have given Vanessa Hudgens a way to escape prison for carving a heart into a protected red rock formation in Sedona.

The actress and her boyfriend, Austin Butler, were on a Valentine's Day hike when they stopped to carve a heart and their names into the rock. She shared a photo of it on Instagram and it eventually caught the attention of federal authorities. Damaging a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land is a crime punishable by up to six months in jail and a $5000 fine. Hudgens has now been given two options. She could either pay a fine and restitution, or she could have her day in court to answer the charges. It sounds like an easy decision to make.

CHARLIZE THERON: TOO PRETTY FOR HOLLYWOOD

Who knew being beautiful was bad for your Hollywood career?

In an interview with British GQ, Charlize Theron says she's lost roles because of her stunning looks. She explains, "Jobs with real gravitas go to people that are physically right for them and that's the end of the story. How many roles are out there for the gorgeous...gown-wearing eight-foot model? When meaty roles come through, I've been in the room and pretty people get turned away first."

Charlize -- who won an Oscar for playing the non-gorgeous serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster -- points out the unfair double standard of getting old in Tinseltown. "It would be a lie to say there is less worry for women as they get older than there is for men," she says. "It feels there's this unrealistic standard of what a woman is supposed to look like when she's over 40."

PAUL WALKER - PORSCHE WINS WRONGFUL DEATH SUIT:

Porsche was not responsible for the accident that killed Paul Walker and Roger Rodas, a judge has ruled.

U.S. District Judge Philip S. Gutierrez said there was not enough evidence to prove the alleged design defects in  the Carrera GT caused the November 2013 crash. Kristine Rodas, Roger's widow, filed the suit. Roger was driving the Porsche that crashed and exploded in Santa Clarita, California.

Paul's daughter, Meadow, has also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche.

AMY SCHUMER: "NOT COOL" TO CALL ME PLUS SIZED

Amy Schumer is taking Glamour magazine to task for including her in its plus-size issue.
The comedian is featured with Melissa McCarthyAdele and model Ashley Graham in an article called “Women Who Inspire Us.” Amy wasn't having it, though. She headed to Instagram to vent. "I think there's nothing wrong with being plus size," she wrote. "Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8."

Amy added that she was especially mad because the magazine didn't ask or let her know she was in the issue. She also didn't think it was a good idea for young girls to see her body type categorized as plus size.

The mag later insisted that it "did not describe her as plus-size" but still said it was "sorry if we offended her in any way."

TWANG TOWN LOWDOWN - TUESDAY APRIL 5TH

RASCAL FLATTS RESTAURANT COMING TO CLEVELAND

After discussing the idea for several years, Rascal Flatts are finally set to open a new restaurant and bar in Cleveland, Ohio. According to Cleveland's Plain Dealer, a local design-review committee has approved exterior plans for the 10,000-square-foot eatery, which will be located in the riverfront area of Flats East Bank. Concept illustrations of the "Rascal Flatts" establishment show a rustic-themed restaurant complete with a large cowgirl pinup above the bar. The eatery will also feature a spacious outdoor patio for dining and an indoor area for performances. The restaurant is expected to open in late summer or early fall, but no set date is given.

BABY #3 ON THE WAY – GRANGER SMITH

Granger Smith's family is getting bigger this year. Smith recently revealed to Taste of Country that and his wife, Amber, is pregnant with their third child, due this spring. Granger says all signs are pointing to another son. He shares, "This baby has a slow heartbeat, and Amber is carrying kind of lower…all indications of boy." But Smith doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl; he's just looking forward to the due date getting here. Granger says, "At first you're like, 'Oh, this is so great! We'll think of names.' And then you're like, 'Okay, just get this baby out.'" The bundle of joy will join sister London, 4, and brother Lincoln, 2.

TAKING AFTER MOM – CHARLES KELLEY

Charles Kelley can't believe how fast his nearly 2-month-old son, Ward, is growing. Kelley tells Entertainment Tonight, "I'll go out for a few shows and come back and see him and he just looks different every time." And as Ward's personality starts to develop, Charles says he seems to be taking after his mother, Cassie. He says, "He's finally smiling and it's not gas, it's real smiles. So far, he's really chill, so maybe (he's) more (like) mom than me."

Charles is the final member of Lady Antebellum to welcome a child, and he admits the trio's parenting phase may contribute to the content on their next record. Kelley shares, "All three of us have kids and we're going to start working on (the next album) throughout the summer and the fall. And (we'll) just write from a different perspective."

D.A. OF THE DAY - TUESDAY, APRIL 5TH

HANDS OFF THE SALAD

An Oklahoma woman who didn't appreciate being told not to use her bare hands to scoop up lettuce at a salad bar was arrested after using those bare hands to punch the off-duty cop who called her out.

A female sheriff’s deputy was having lunch with her two kids at a pizza restaurant when she watched 29-year-old Lindsay Williams helping herself to salad using her filthy meat hooks. Deputy Adebola Atoka informed restaurant employees, who replaced the salad with a fresh bowl, but a short time later, Williams was back to using her hands again. This time, Deputy Atoka told her to stop doing it, and Williams responded by punching her in the face.

On-duty officers were called to the restaurant and they arrested Williams for assault and battery.

THIS AIN'T NO CAKEWALK

A crook in Vermont thought it would be a piece of cake to cut a deal with a small-town cop -- by trying to bribe his way out of a bust by offering the officer a freshly baked confection.

Edward Corey was under investigation for grand larceny after his elderly father filed a report that he'd been taking thousands of dollars from a joint bank account without permission. Corey admitted he'd skimmed off a total of about seven grand because the older man "didn't deserve it," so prosecutors decided to take the case to trial.

The 62-year-old suspect had been writing letters to authorities asking if there was a way to cut a deal, but took things to another level last week by sending a cake, along with a note reading, "Cake is to sweeten the deal. Let's make it happen today."

The cake was photographed but destroyed without being eaten. The box was saved as evidence.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON... HAVE A....STRIPPER.

If the title of "worst mom of the year" is up for grabs, a Florida woman is certainly doing her best to grab it.

The Tampa resident probably thought she was being the coolest mom of the year by hiring a stripper for her eight-year-old son's birthday party, but predictably, the move has done nothing but draw disgust and criticism from people all over the country -- especially on YouTube where a video of of the inappropriate birthday bash was posted.

The video has since been deleted, but not before thousands got a chance to see it and comment. The clip shows the half-naked dancer twerking in the boy's face, while he spanks her butt and throws cash at her. Many people are calling for the police to investigate and consider charges against the mother, but so far no charges have been reported.

HOTLIST - TUESDAY APRIL 5TH

JARED FOGLE; LIFE SAVED BY PRISON OFFICIALS

Jared Fogle just received some great news in prison. It's not the news he really wants to hear, which is that he's getting out of jail early, but it's still news that will likely save his life.

The fellow inmate who beat up the former Subway pitchman back in January and vowed to continue attacking him, is being moved to another facility 700 miles away. 60-year-old Steven Nigg jumped Fogle in the prison yard because he hates child molesters and said he would attack him again the next chance he got. So to protect Fogle, prison officials have decided to transfer Nigg from the Colorado prison to one in Oklahoma.

MARK HAMILL: DISSED BY DISNEY

Mark Hamill may be a huge star in a galaxy far, far away, but he was recently brought back to Earth by a Disney employee who got his name wrong.

Even though he starred in Disney's biggest movie ever, the studio's London office issued him a visitor's pass that read Mark Hamilton. But Luke Skywalker thought the mistake was pretty funny. He tweeted a photo of the pass and said, "How famous am I? Actual security pass I got 4 Disney London office visit. That's MISTER Hamilton to you! #AndYouAre?"

Stefani seemed to be addressing the ongoing tabloid rumors that claim she's expecting a baby with Shelton.

D.A. Of The Day

NABBED IN CRAB GRAB

Connecticut cops pinched a couple for getting crabby and starting a brawl at an all-you-can-eat buffet -- because a guy got between them and the crab legs.

Clifford and Latoya Knight got so steamed after a 21-year-old man allegedly cut in front of them at the steam table that they cracked and started punching him in the face, knocking out one of his teeth in the process. The young man's mom caught wind of the action and decided to heat the situation up even further -- by letting loose a stream of pepper spray to subdue the couple.

The mom was not charged, but both Knights will have to face a judge to answer for the a-"salt" and battery.

HONEY GRAMS:

A box of breakfast cereal got a couple of drug dealers snapped, crackled and popped over the weekend.
Police in Florida pulled over 19-year-old Efren Zuniga and 24-year-old Jose Moreno because of an equipment problem with their vehicle. The officer looked inside the car and saw a box of Honey Grahams. He asked to look inside and that's when he discovered 514 grams of cocaine, carrying an estimated street value of more than $14,000. Both men were charged with cocaine trafficking and were being held on $150,000 bail.

WAS SHE IN THE PASTA-ING LANE?

British cops are on the hunt for a motorist who really put the "car" in carbs -- by driving down a busy highway while shoveling a bowl of pasta into her mouth.

Witness Mariusz Kedzior called police to report that he saw the woman tooling along at about 50 miles per hour, holding a fork with her right hand and the bowl in her left. He said she was happily scooping up mouthfuls of food while controlling the steering wheel with her legs -- and swerving from lane to lane.

Kedzior said, "As a truck driver, I have 11 years' experience of driving on the road and I have never seen anything like this. I have seen people drink coffee and so on at the wheel, but eating their lunch is just totally crazy."

It definitely shows she was not using her noodle.

The D.A. Of The Day - Tuesday, March 29th

DRUNK DRIVER HAS SOME "BAGGAGE" ON THE HOOD

A Florida woman really hit the roof after a barroom fight with her husband -- and she ended up riding on top of it for six miles down as he drove down the highway, refusing to let her down.

Richard Addy says he and his wife were both pretty wasted at the end of a long bar crawl over the weekend, so when they got into a scuffle after their final cocktail, he decided to drive off without her. The 69-year-old Addy headed for home, but when he pulled up at the first red light he hit, he heard his spouse, Elizabeth, pounding on the roof and asking him to stop.

He didn't. In fact, he continued on for a full six miles, with Elizabeth screaming the entire way, until he was flagged down by a trooper, who noted "a strong odor of alcohol" on his breath. The cop did not test him for blood alcohol, but charged him with reckless driving and permitting a passenger to ride on the exterior of a vehicle.

SMELL YA LATER, DATER..

The quickest way to a man's heart is through his nose -- or so says a new dating service that attempts to match you to your soulmate based on how you smell.

According to the man behind New York-based Smell Dating, "Most normal dating services, you rely on profile pictures, assumptions that come from visual information. You either really like the smell of someone or you don’t. It’s much more innate.” Prospective sniffers and sniffees need to sign up, then wear a T-shirt for three days and nights, with no deodorant, and wait for your ideal match to follow their nose to you.

Smell Dating will set up an exchange of contact information, but if the person you get matched with seems off, the site's FAQ says, "Trust yourself, your nose knows."
Sounds like the pits to us.

HE'S CRACKED HIS CHALUPA:

A Massachusetts man was angry that he couldn't make a run for the border at his local Taco Bell, so he decided to do the next best thing -- and made a run for the joint's ATM, crashing his car into it at an estimated 80 miles per hour.

Derrick C. LaForest reportedly pulled into the drive-thru at the eatery and laid on his horn for two solid minutes in hopes someone would take his order, but when told he couldn't get a Chalupa, he was thrown for a loop -- and hit the gas. He blasted into the building with such force that he knocked himself unconscious.

The 42-year-old, who admitted he was "hangry" after an evening out, told police he didn't remember hitting the building and had "no idea" how it happened, but said he'd driven over from a bar about three miles away from Taco Bell.

It's still not clear what caused the fight, but Katt later said he had thought Luke was 19.

SHATNER AUCTIONING OFF TWO CLASSIC CARS

William Shatner has two of his personal cars in an upcoming auction. Barrett-Jackson  Auction at the South Florida Fairgrounds will sell the 2002 Aston Martin DB7 and a 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton. Shatner will sign both of the vehicles. The auction will be April 8-10.

Shatner sent out a press release that said, “The sound of the exhaust, the ticking of the engine, the sleekness of the design have intrigued and entranced me. I look for cars like the ones I am selling: this great VW Phaeton — one of the most advanced cars in the world at its time — and this Aston Martin DB7, which is a jewel of design. They are like my kids, but I know they will get great care and I will be there for the adoption process. I am looking forward to it.”

There’s no reserve on either car, meaning there’s no minimum bid for a chance to grab a piece of both automotive and pop culture memorabilia.
