RASCAL FLATTS RESTAURANT COMING TO CLEVELAND
After discussing the idea for several years, Rascal Flatts are finally set to open a new restaurant and bar in Cleveland, Ohio. According to Cleveland's Plain Dealer, a local design-review committee has approved exterior plans for the 10,000-square-foot eatery, which will be located in the riverfront area of Flats East Bank. Concept illustrations of the "Rascal Flatts" establishment show a rustic-themed restaurant complete with a large cowgirl pinup above the bar. The eatery will also feature a spacious outdoor patio for dining and an indoor area for performances. The restaurant is expected to open in late summer or early fall, but no set date is given.
Granger Smith's family is getting bigger this year. Smith recently revealed to Taste of Country that and his wife, Amber, is pregnant with their third child, due this spring. Granger says all signs are pointing to another son. He shares, "This baby has a slow heartbeat, and Amber is carrying kind of lower…all indications of boy." But Smith doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl; he's just looking forward to the due date getting here. Granger says, "At first you're like, 'Oh, this is so great! We'll think of names.' And then you're like, 'Okay, just get this baby out.'" The bundle of joy will join sister London, 4, and brother Lincoln, 2.
Charles Kelley can't believe how fast his nearly 2-month-old son, Ward, is growing. Kelley tells Entertainment Tonight, "I'll go out for a few shows and come back and see him and he just looks different every time." And as Ward's personality starts to develop, Charles says he seems to be taking after his mother, Cassie. He says, "He's finally smiling and it's not gas, it's real smiles. So far, he's really chill, so maybe (he's) more (like) mom than me."
Charles is the final member of Lady Antebellum to welcome a child, and he admits the trio's parenting phase may contribute to the content on their next record. Kelley shares, "All three of us have kids and we're going to start working on (the next album) throughout the summer and the fall. And (we'll) just write from a different perspective."
