The D.A. Of The Day - Tuesday, April 12th

BEER THIEF CALLS 911...ON HIMSELF

A suspected beer thief in Florida ended up behind bars -- after repeatedly calling 911 to report that he'd been accused of stealing beer.

Philip Chege dialed the emergency number nine times in less than an hour last Sunday afternoon, claiming the manager at J-Food convenience store had accused him of pocketing a one dollar can of brew. The store owners insisted they had to intention of pressing charges against Chege, but said they declined to sell him the suds because he'd repeatedly hit them with abusive and racist slurs.

An officer who was dispatched to the scene warned Chege about making unnecessary 911 calls, but he rang the number again even before the cop was able to pull out of the parking lot.

DRONE HITS MAN IN HEAD AT WORK

A South African man had a really strange day at the office last week.

Interface designer David Perel was sitting at his desk when all of a sudden, a drone flew through his window and slammed right into his head. At first, Perel says he thought there was an explosion outside the building and that he was struck by flying debris, but he soon discovered the white quad-copter laying on his desk.

Luckily he suffered only a minor bruise on his head and a headache. Once he collected himself, he was able to remove the memory card from the drone and upload the video which shows the entire flight including the moment of impact. He later shared it on YouTube.

SO A GOAT WALKS INTO A STARBUCKS:

You think you need your morning cup of coffee? This kid needed it really baaaaaaad.

Workers at a Starbucks in Northern California had just opened the store for the day when a goat wandered in for her caffeine fix. Baristas tried to use a banana to lure her out, but she was content staying put and chewed on a box instead. So they called police and the fire department, who were able to hold the goat until animal control arrived and took her away. A few hours later, the animal's owner came to get her.

Apparently the goat, named Millie, lives at a home a few doors down from the Starbucks and was just exploring.
