BLAKE SHELTON: IN TOUCH LAWSUIT CAN PROCEED:
Blake Shelton's defamation lawsuit against In Touch magazine can move forward.
U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder delivered a tentative ruling Monday saying she is inclined to allow his $2 million lawsuit to go forward because the tabloid appeared to "cherry-pick" facts to support its September 28th story that Blake was heading to rehab and that his drinking led to his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
KIP MOORE: ON THE FENCE ABOUT FAMILY:
Fans who hope to raise little surfer, music-lovin’ babies with Kip Moore, dream on. At a Bluebird Café songwriter round on Friday, Kip backpedaled on the subject of starting a family after he premiered a new song called “Fast Women.” The new song addresses Kip’s life on the road while his friends start families with the lyrics, “All of my buddies yeah they’re settlin’ down/ Making deep roots in their no name towns/ They got kids, someday I want kids.”
Kip shared the round with rising act and mom-to-be Caitlyn Smith. Later in the night, Kip offered to invite her to be on his tour in the fall. She joked, “All right, Kip. With a baby, Kip? You want to babysit?”
He said, “That last song I said one day I want kids, I don’t want them now. I recently took my guitar player Dave and our drummer Erich … I wanted them to be able to take their kids for the first time on the bus. It was so awesome because I love hanging out with them but I love that I can give them back and I’ll go surf and do my thing.”
Next, Kip plays at the Tortuga Music Festival on Saturday in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
