THE HOTLIST- WEDNESDAY JUNE 8TH

Ellen DeGeneres: Sued For Joke About Woman's Name

What a boob! Ellen DeGeneres is being sued for joking about a woman's name on her talk show.

In a segment called "What's Wrong With These Signs?" Ellen showed a sign advertising a real estate broker named Titi [pr: tee-tee]Pierce. Ellen poked fun at the name for sounding like another word for "breasts," but Titi says the comedian has it wrong. It's pronounced "Tee Tee" and now she's suing for defamation and invasion of privacy.

According to the complaint, the bit led to “immediate ridicule” and since her phone number on the sign wasn't blocked, she got “ridiculing and harassing” calls while attending a family funeral. She says Titi [pr: tee-tee] is a Nigerian name that means "flower" and that she has “strong, positive” feelings about the moniker.

Pierce is seeking damages and for the segment to never be aired again.

CHEWBACCA MOM: MADE SOME SERIOUS CASH...

You may want to get cracking on a viral video. Chewbacca mom Candace Payne has reportedly made nearly half a million dollars with her popular clip.

The video, which was posted on May 19th, has already became the most-watched Facebook Live video in history, and has more than 150 million views. According to Time, she's been collecting a bunch of gifts. She's received $3,000 from Kohl's (which sells the masks), $7,500 from talk show appearances (such as Good Morning America and The Late Late Show), a $7,500 Walt Disney World vacation and VIP passes to the Fan Expo Dallas convention worth $2,000. But the biggest gift? College scholarships from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida for her two young children worth $400,000.

Kohls is benefiting too. The mask sold out right away.

ARSONIST HITS KARDASHIAN BOUTIQUE

He's not a Kardashian fan. An unidentified man tried to burn down the famous family's Dash store in West Hollywood.

A witness called cops late Monday night after seeing the hater throw a "lit object" through the window. Firefighters who responded to the scene found a "smoldering object" inside the boutique. Fortunately there wasn't any significant damage and no one was inside at the time. According to TMZ, a bottle of lighter fluid was also outside the store.
