The HOTLIST - FRIDAY JUNE 10th

JOHNNY DEPP: Selling Off Art Collection

Johnny Depp is in a nasty legal battle with his wife Amber Heard that will likely cost him millions. So it should help that he's about to pad his bank account by auctioning off his multi-million dollar Jean-Michel Basquiat art collection.

Depp will sell off his collection later this month at Christie's auction house in London. The nine paintings and drawings are from the early 1980s and Depp collected them all over the past 25 years. He had been in talks with Christie's about selling off the works since the beginning of the year.

JARED FOGLE: Request for Less Time Denied

Jared Fogle will have to serve his entire 15-year prison sentence after a judge denied his appeal and request to have it shortened.

The disgraced former Subway pitchman said that 15 years behind bars is too harsh for sharing child porn only once. He argued that he didn't widely distribute the material or act out any of his sexual fantasies with minors. The appeals judge disagreed and ruled that the possession of child porn and his obsession with having sex with minors warranted the full sentence.

NASHVILLE: To Live On

The TV show Nashville will live on.

CMT has picked up the drama for a fifth season under the contingency that the city, convention and visitors bureau, and Ryman Hospitality chip in for production costs.

The show, which was cancelled by ABC last month, pumps millions into the city's economy and employs locals for production jobs.

Nashville will air on CMT and Hulu.

PASSION OF THE CHRIST: Sequel In the Works

Mel Gibson is resurrecting The Passion of the Christ and reportedly working on a sequel.

Screenwriter Randall Wallace (Braveheart) has confirmed he and Gibson are working on a follow-up to the 2004 film which became the most successful independent movie ever, earning more than $600-million dollars. The Passion of the Christ addressed Jesus's final days and the sequel is expected to focus on his resurrection.
