TWANG TOWN LOWDOWN - MONDAY JUNE 6TH

TAYLOR SWIFT: WEDDING CRASHER

Taylor Swift continues to make wishes come true for her fans.

Over the weekend, Taylor surprised Max Singer and Kenya Smith at their wedding reception in New Jersey and performed a stripped down version of "Blank Space" for them and their stunned guests.

Max's sister arranged the whole thing. She had sent Taylor a letter about how Max was a big fan and that he and his ailing mother danced to the song shortly before she passed away.

Taylor wrote back and said she'd be there. And she was, by herself. She posed for a photo and presented the couple a special card which read, "So It’s Gonna Be Forever."

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: PERFORMING AT CMT AWARDS

The CMT Music Awards just picked up some major firepower.

This morning, CMT announced that Carrie Underwood will join the list of performers and sing her hit single "Church Bells."

Several other artists were also revealed. Pitbull will step onto the CMT stage for the first time in a performance with nominee Leona Lewis and CMT Music Award-winner Cassadee Pope. And newer acts Brothers Osborne, LoCash, Maren Morris and Michael Ray will perform on the Firestone stage.

The show will air live on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

DIXIE CHICKS: BRING TRUMP TO THE STAGE:

The Dixie Chicks are no strangers to taking a political stance and letting their fans know about it.

On June 1st, they kicked off the American leg of their 2016 tour in Cincinnati. During the performance of their hit song, "Goodbye Earl," a black and white, old-fashioned video flashed across the large screen behind them, along with old pictures of criminals. As the song came to a close, the photos behind them became more recent, showing newspaper clippings of the O.J. Simpson trial, as well as pictures of rapper Chris Brown and the woman he assaulted in 2009, his pop star ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.

The Chicks also added in a small jab at Donald Trump by picturing him with horns and facial hair.

Although this was the first time American audiences witnessed this background video, it wasn't the first time it was used. Fans in Europe were shown the same photographs during the European leg of the Dixie Chicks 2016 World Tour.
